Annually, Mindanao State University celebrates it’s another year of existence while providing a good quality of Education. For the 51st existence of MSU, the theme goes like this: “A World Class National University in 2020”. Usually, before the birthday of our prestige campus starts, activities are gathered. Such activities include: Sports Intramurals, Literary Competition, Dance and Musical Extravaganza.
Each of the colleges of the campus was invited to attend and compete to the said event. Luckily, College of Health Sciences never failed to show their fighting spirit and confidence not just in community and hospital setting but also in the field of sports, acting, speech, drawing, singing and dancing.

Indeed, CHS nursing students are not just born to have a passion of being caring but also to have a passion in any area. Will it be sports or writing aor speaking or dancing and singing.
One of the highlights of MSU every year is the Musical and Dance Extravaganza. Fortunately, CHS joins in any areas. Singing Duet and Solo (Filipino and English category), Acapella, Impersonation (through Spice girls), Ethnic dance, Street dance, Line dance and Foke dance.
CHS won 1st runner up in Solo singing English category as 1st and Ethnic Dance.
All in All the celebration was filled with contentment and enjoyment, especially when September 1, 2012 approaches.
First day of September is the most awaiting because everybody (students, staffs, faculties) were called for General Parade. We were gathered at University Sports Complex. While waiting for the guest speaker we were entertained by the MSU combo wherein they sang familiar songs. They didn’t stop until the most awaited person for the event came, the guest speaker. His name is Juan Edgardo M. Angara, Son of Edgardo, Javier Angara. Accordingly, he was a recipient for the Ten Outstanding Young Men (TOYM) Award for 2010 for his outstanding performances and achievements. He was welcomed by the MSUans. He talked everything about modern education and advised us that MSU could always be a World Class National University by 2020.
Winners from the competition of dance and musical extravaganza performed once again to show what MSU have got.
